  • Auction-based pricing: in most UK cities, a single click for "restaurant near me" or competitive keywords costs £1.50-£4. With £300/month, you get ~80 clicks - not enough for the algorithm to learn what converts.
  • Google's machine learning needs data: smart bidding requires at least 50 conversions/month to optimise. Below this threshold, you're paying for clicks without improving over time.
  • Management costs are fixed: building, monitoring, and optimising takes the same hours whether your budget is £300 or £3000. At £300, our fee would eat 30%+ of your spend.

For smaller budgets, we recommend Meta Ads (Facebook + Instagram) instead. Lower minimum, better visual reach, more efficient for budgets under £1000.
